About The Position

Amazon DynamoDB is a fully managed, serverless, NoSQL database that provides fast and predictable performance with seamless scalability. The DynamoDB team is looking for a customer-obsessed, team-driven principal technical program manager to own capacity management, release coordination across different DynamoDB teams and building tracking mechanisms to improve operations of various services. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with service teams, infrastructure, and business development to design and deliver new features in front end services areas. You will collaborate with product teams to design solutions that make efficient use of resources and technologies. You will also work with all stakeholders to develop schedules that ensure timely launches. You will assess risks, anticipate issues, overcome technical obstacles, make difficult trade-off decisions, and balance business needs and technical constraints. In this role, you will interact with teams and leaders across Amazon. You will affect AWS growth directly and deliver major new capabilities for our customers. You will own and be responsible for defining and executing processes that deliver both savings and productivity for Amazon DynamoDB.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Responsibilities

  • Own capacity management, release coordination across different DynamoDB teams and building tracking mechanisms to improve operations of various services.
