Reddit is seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager, Developer Productivity to lead company-wide programs for AI-assisted engineering workflows. This role will partner with engineering leaders across various departments to ensure AI-native development is safe, measurable, scalable, and effective. The position is crucial as Reddit enters a new era of software development driven by AI and agentic workflows, aiming to enhance engineer speed and confidence while managing complexity and risk. The TPM will guide Reddit in establishing a flexible yet protective framework for agentic development, focusing on delivering value and fostering trust in new workflows. At Reddit, Technical Program Managers leverage technical judgment to define and drive large, cross-team programs. They collaborate with engineering and product leaders on strategy, execution, and stakeholder alignment. They are responsible for identifying root causes, evaluating solutions, and understanding the impact and risks associated with them. Beyond program delivery, they build execution processes to improve overall organizational scale. This Principal TPM role, reporting to Engineering Operations, operates at an executive and company-wide scope, shaping strategy, creating alignment in ambiguous areas, and setting standards for complex technical program execution. While not a people management role, it is a leadership position focused on delivering programs and influencing how teams think, collaborate, and make decisions to embed new systems, standards, and behaviors.
