About The Position
Amazon Advertising LLC is seeking a Principal Tech Program Manager for multiple positions available in Arlington, Virginia. This role involves leading cross-team coordination and prioritization to translate product and business requirements into technical roadmaps and designs. The successful candidate will design, develop, and implement low-latency, highly scalable systems, coordinate development timelines across multiple engineering organizations, and orchestrate technical implementations. This position also requires interfacing with finance teams for budget management, collaborating with cross-functional product leaders, serving as the team's representative, and spearheading multi-year planning. Building and maintaining effective communication channels with diverse stakeholders is also a key aspect of this role.
Requirements
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
- One year of experience in software development.
- One year of experience in practical coding and development skills.
- One year of experience managing complex programs across diverse cross-functional teams.
- One year of experience with process development and implementation.
- One year of experience coordinating and optimizing release schedules.
- Domestic travel up to 25% may be required.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-team coordination and prioritization to translate critical product and business requirements into technical roadmaps and designs.
- Design, develop, and implement low-latency, highly scalable systems supporting thousands of concurrent advertisers and millions of customers.
- Coordinate development timelines across multiple large engineering organizations to meet strict deadlines.
- Orchestrate technical implementations while ensuring alignment between business needs and technical capabilities.
- Interface with finance teams to manage and consolidate team budgets and resource requests.
- Collaborate with cross-functional product leaders to drive execution of ambitious roadmap initiatives.
- Serve as the team's representative across various organizational levels and spearhead multi-year planning activities.
- Build and maintain effective communication channels with diverse stakeholders and collaborators.
