If so, our Defense Systems Sector is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to join our growing team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. You will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Systems and Software Solutions (S&SS). S&SS provides sustainment support for the US Air Force B-1, KC-135, and numerous other Government platforms. Our team members complete engineering, reverse engineering, and logistics solution efforts to solve complex obsolescence problems and ensure warfighter supportability. You will support the Lead Engineer in execution of various program activities, to include Test system design and evaluation, design and development of communication systems, flight controls, navigation, radar, avionics, power and/or electrical systems architecture, components, circuits, and products or aircraft maintenance. The position will research, develop, design, and test electrical components, perform equipment, systems, and design evaluations and provide general engineering support for defense or commercial systems.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Physics or other STEM field with a minimum of 5 years of engineering experience
A Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Physics or other STEM field with a minimum of 3 years of engineering experience
A PhD degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Physics or other STEM field with 1 year of engineering experience
Ability to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance
Ability to work on-site in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Experience in creating and delivering technical presentations to internal and external leadership
Experience working collaboratively on complex projects that encompass hardware, software, and firmware
Ability to obtain and maintain a minimum of a U.S. Government Secret Clearance with additional customer specified clearance prior to start
U.S. Citizenship required
