Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars and Sensors Center is seeking a SubCPT (Cross Product Team) Lead to join the "Agile Release Train" (ART) team supporting the AN/TPY-2 radar product line. The AN/TPY-2 radar is a state-of-the-art missile defense system operating in the X-band, with a flawless performance record against ballistic missiles. The ART team advances radar capabilities through Arbitrary Waveform Generation (AWFG) and Advanced Signal Processing (ASP), including cutting-edge GPU software development and innovative radar system applications. This role offers the opportunity to work on advanced technology and make a tangible impact in the aerospace and defense industry.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience leading a technical team while managing execution of technical, cost and schedule performance.
  • Experience in Systems Engineering, Software Development and/or Integration and Test.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with AN/TPY-2 or SBX Systems and Missile Defense programs.
  • Familiarity with radar systems, software development, and integration/test workflows.
  • Earned Value Management (EVMS) certification.
  • Experience working within the Agile development practice.
  • Proven ability to respond to technical challenges and drive innovative solutions.
  • Experience developing basis of estimates (BOEs) and supporting proposal development.
  • Experience supporting hiring activities, including interviews and staff planning.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Systems Engineering, Software, and Systems Integration and Test (SIT) efforts, managing technical scope, cost, and schedule.
  • Lead an interdisciplinary team of engineers, managing technical scope, cost, and schedule.
  • Develop and manage financial, schedule, and staffing plans for the teams and ART.
  • Act as the primary liaison between project teams and senior engineering leadership, providing updates on execution plans and status.
  • Ensure compliance with common processes across disciplines.
  • Support new business efforts such as Basis of Estimate (BOE) development for proposals and responses to Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Communicate effectively with ART teams and leadership to ensure alignment and success.
