About The Position

Join the Asset Management Technology (AM Tech) organization as a Principal Systems Analyst where you will provide analysis and support of managed financial solutions, products, and tools supporting the Treasurer’s Office. The systems analyst will need to collaborate extensively with other teams within the product area and domain. They will be a key member of a delivery team and will be actively involved in all aspects of the technical product vision and design. The individual will gain a deep end-to-end understanding of the existing managed applications and business to assist in developing requirements and design for updated and emerging technology solutions. The Fiduciary Fund Oversight Technology Team within the Asset Management Technology (AMT), develops the proprietary internal Software system used by The Asset Management Treasurers Office to provide fiduciary oversight of Fidelity’s funds, shareholder activity, service providers and to meet regulatory reporting. These are purposely built software solutions with deep industry knowledge, technical experience to meet the fiduciary responsibilities of setting and monitoring adherence to fund policies. Our success is dependent on collaboration and partnership across AM Tech, and with our AM Finance and Fund Oversight partners.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems
  • 8+ years of experience as an IT Systems Analyst
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Skilled in creating architecture diagrams using Visio, Draw.io, or similar tools
  • Solid experience in data modeling, SQL, and working with large datasets
  • Proactive learner and contributor to team success
  • Solid understanding of financial services industry
  • Strong analytical, facilitation, and communication skills
  • Proven experience analyzing complex customer and business requirements; anticipating operational risks, regulatory considerations and user experience challenges
  • Moderate to advanced knowledge of tools and techniques for presenting and analyzing data including SQL, Access, Excel, relational databases, XML, JSON, Postman/Insomnia and SQL developer
  • Affinity for data; where to get it, how to use it, what it means
  • Ability to understand the technology and software architecture of an application
  • Demonstrated ability to produce supporting artifacts, such as process flows, context diagrams, UI wireframes, requirements, cross-domain dependencies, and business rules
  • Experience with Financial Industry (Asset Management)

Nice To Haves

  • Regulatory reporting is strongly desired
  • Experience with asset management back-office operations and mutual fund accounting a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide analysis and support of managed financial solutions, products, and tools supporting the Treasurer’s Office

  • Manage work breakdown (JIRA epics, stories)
  • Coordinate with developers
  • Provide production and non-production support, responding to inquiries from business support teams
  • Develop subject matter expertise in product and domain
