Parsons is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator who has extensive experience with Navy software systems. In this role you will get to support a high visibility Navy Program.

Requirements

  • Must have a Top-Secret clearance with SCI and ability to pass a Counterintelligence polygraph
  • Minimum of 10 years or more of professional experience as a systems administrator for Navy software systems
  • Master’s degree, or an authorized substitution for a bachelor’s degree plus four additional years of relevant experience
  • Experience with Linux-based operating systems
  • Experience with virtualization environments, including VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox
  • Experience troubleshooting network connections
  • Experience troubleshooting system configuration issues
  • CompTIA Security+ certification.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative/distributed team environment
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
  • Demonstrated experience with Cybersecurity best practices
  • Experience working in secured or classified operating environments

Nice To Haves

  • An active TS/SCI w/ CI Poly is preferred
  • Experience supporting Navy programs, NAVWAR, NIWC Pacific, NIWC Atlantic

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain system IT environments to ensure system availability and security compliance
  • Installing, configuring, and updating system software and operating systems
  • Implementing security measures to meet security compliance
  • Managing user accounts and permissions
  • Troubleshooting/ resolving system issues to minimize downtime
