About The Position

L3Harris Space Systems is seeking a Supply Chain Program Manager for the Spectral Solutions business to capture and execute space programs. This role involves working with the customer and leading internal and supplier teams in capturing and executing space programs and/or studies with an emphasis on technology development and mission solutions. The position is responsible for leading supply chain program management in partnership with Engineering, Program Management, and Operations to drive execution, alignment with commodity strategies, supply base optimization, and lowest total acquisition cost on a key Missile Defense Program. The ideal candidate will use hands-on, cross-functional approaches to identify pain points and drive improvements, possessing the passion, business acumen, and experience to drive best-in-class supply chain processes and efficiencies. Responsibilities include tracking and coordinating program deliverables, highlighting and mitigating key program risks, and providing regular status updates. The role also involves managing the flow of critical milestones, analyzing supplier capacity and capability, ensuring adequate line fill and inventory optimization, and providing technical support for DFx. Active engagement in process improvements, managing supplier relationships and performance, and interfacing with various stakeholders are also key aspects of this position. The role requires developing and tracking supply chain management metrics customized to space programs, managing high-level relationships, understanding customer mission gaps, and effectively communicating the L3Harris value proposition. Demonstrating high ethical standards and adherence to the L3Harris Code of Conduct is essential. The role requires the ability to travel to supplier facilities (anticipated average of 40%-50%, primarily domestic locations) and the ability to obtain a US security clearance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience, OR Graduate degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
  • Ability to obtain US Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Leading supply chain program management in partnership with Engineering, Program Management, and Operations to drive execution, alignment with commodity strategies, supply base optimization, and lowest total acquisition cost on a key Missile Defense Program.
  • Using hands-on, cross-functional approaches to identify pain points and drive improvements.
  • Tracking and coordinating all program deliverables, highlighting key program risks and putting plans in place to mitigate those risks, providing regular reports/updates on program status, including identification and mitigation of long-term supply chain risks.
  • Managing the flow of critical milestones and project requirements including analysis of supplier capacity and capability.
  • Ensuring supplier ability to supply parts with on-going adjustment of material flow for adequate line fill and inventory optimization.
  • Providing technical support for DFx (design for all desirable manufacturability, assembly, test attributes) including reviewing engineering changes and assessment of materials/supply chain impact.
  • Actively engaging in process improvements to continually increase efficiency and effectiveness of product development and supply chain processes.
  • Managing supplier relationships and supplier performance to achieve program and customer requirements.
  • Interacting with suppliers to ensure appropriate support and execution of deliverables as well as participating in managing supplier relationships and performance.
  • Interfacing and influencing a diverse team comprised of L3Harris engineering and supply chain, and supplier teammates.
  • Interfacing with program managers of various stakeholder programs.
  • Developing, driving, and tracking supply chain management metrics customized to space programs.
  • Responsible for high-level relationship management, evolving as a recognized thought leader/trusted partner.
  • Fully understanding customer mission gaps, constraints, and objectives.
  • Effectively communicating the L3Harris value proposition from a technical and programmatic perspective.
  • Driving long-term business strategy.
