About The Position

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal / Sr. Principal Systems Engineer to join its team. This engineer will join the Sentinel Digital Ecosystem Business Unit on the Sentinel Program within the SDS Division. This position will be in Roy, Utah or Manhattan Beach, CA. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure. The selected engineer will be responsible for systems engineering technical baseline maturation to drive successful development and sell-off of systems within the Digital Ecosystem segment. This individual will lead a small team or work with a cross-disciplinary team under the guidance of Lead Systems Engineers, other program leadership, and customer representatives to pursue incremental capability insertions across the Digital Ecosystem. The ideal candidate has experience with model-based engineering, exposure to software-centric systems and digital engineering, and experience with complex systems lifecycle management. This position may be filled as a Principal (level 3) or Sr. Principal (level 4) Systems Engineer.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in STEM and 5 years of experience, 3 years of experience with master’s degree, 0 years of experience with PhD. (for Principal)

Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
Must have the ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) within a reasonable period as determined by the business needs of the company. (for Principal)
Must have current Special Access Program (SAP) approval at time of hire. (for Sr. Principal)
2 years of Systems engineering experience throughout the program lifecycle. (for Principal)
