Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Principal/Sr. Principal Industrial Engineer Level 3/4 to support our Industrial Engineering Operations Management (IEOM) organization. This candidate will join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in Iuka, MS.

Requirements

Bachelor's in STEM with 4 or more years of engineering experience in Manufacturing, Systems, Management, Mechanical, Process, or Data Analysis; OR a Master’s degree in STEM with 3 or more years of engineering in mentioned fields; OR PhD in STEM with 0 years of experience (for Level 3)
Bachelor's in STEM with 8 or more years of engineering experience in Manufacturing, Systems, Management, Mechanical, Process, or Data Analysis; OR a Master’s degree in STEM with 6 or more years of engineering in mentioned fields; OR PhD in STEM with 4 years of experience (for Level 4)
Experience with Power BI and data systems to develop performance visuals include: experience with Power BI, data literacy (ETL, SQL, data modeling), ability to create and share dashboards, and strong communication skills for presenting actionable insights.
Experience in Microsoft Office excel, including macros, data mining, and pivot tables or data visualization software applications.
Ability to obtain and maintain DOD Security Clearance and Special Program Access in a reasonable amount of time as required by the business.
Experience in leading prior teams
Experience in Project Management

Responsibilities

Analyzes lead times, queue times, work-in-process, cycle times, and throughput to meet customer demand most effectively and efficiently
Builds scalable and sustainable models to optimize product flow, while incorporating cost, schedule, and resource constraints
Develops optimized scheduling tools and aligns SAP/MRP systems with an executable plan given various capacity constraints
Incorporates complex interdependencies within a system to account for the interaction of multiple cost centers, programs, equipment, and tools
Communicates requirements planning and systems framework with IT, ERP, business analytics, and data science teams
Works with developers to design an interactive user interface that will be effective at scheduling jobs across cost centers
Guides digital transformation efforts to align with sector and enterprise strategies
Leads and drives positive change using iterative and agile methodologies
Creates new metrics and data visualizations to monitor shop floor performance
