About The Position

Northrop Grumman is seeking either a Principal Facilities Engineer Level 3 or Senior Principal Facilities Engineer Level 4 to join their team. The position is located On Site in Clearfield, UT. This role will support the 9/80 schedule. The company offers opportunities for expanding personal networks and developing skills, with resources, support, and a team to do significant work. The position may be filled as either Level 3 or Level 4 depending on qualifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) with 5 years of Engineering experience in Power Systems, Power, Electrical, Electronics, Construction, Mechanical Design, Engineering, Design, Facilities, Operations, Aerospace, or Control OR a Master’s degree in STEM with 3 years of experience in mentioned fields (for Level 3).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) with 8 years of Engineering experience in Power Systems, Power, Electrical, Electronics, Construction, Mechanical Design, Engineering, Design, Facilities, Operations, Aerospace, or Control OR Master’s degree in STEM with 6 years of experience in mentioned fields OR PhD in STEM with 3 year of experience in mentioned fields (for Level 4).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance.
  • Ability to obtain Special Program Access.
  • Ability to support the 9/80 A schedule (6AM - 3:30PM).
  • Strong organizational skills in managing time, projects, and resources.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for positions with a government clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting high-rate manufacturing facilities from a maintenance function.
  • Experience with industrial automation equipment (Robots, conveyors, machining centers, etc).
  • Troubleshooting electrical controls and 24-volt systems.
  • Knowledge of Beckhoff, Siemens, Allen Bradley, Kuka, Fanuc.
  • Experience with VFD’s as well as servo-controlled systems.
  • Ability to interpret building and utility drawings and make the revisions as required.
  • Ability to interpret electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
  • Applied knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project).
  • Applied knowledge of CMMS systems (Maximo, Emaint, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Schedule contractors and provide SOW.
  • Take ownership of equipment, including writing PM plans and being responsible for critical spare parts.
  • Perform annual E-FMEA on assigned equipment.
  • Manage time, projects, and resources effectively.
  • Communicate machine downtime.
  • Support operations CFT (cross-functional team).
  • Provide support, as needed, on off-Fridays to support the Facilities team.
