Requirements

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
6+ years professional experience in a supply chain operations environment (monitoring, auditing, developing suppliers/operations) or equivalent.
Knowledge of Quality Regulations, Quality Core Tools Knowledge, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Practical Problem Solving, International Mgmt. system standards, Authorities / Regulations / Standards, Knowledge of QMS, Auditing/Assessing, Risk Management / Continuous Improvement (Lean Six Sigma) desirable

Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to speak effectively and easily with both internal and external executives and employees.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering/industrial engineering or similar field.
Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of education.
Requires advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
May have practical knowledge of project management.
Practical to substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.

Responsibilities

Manages supplier quality performance through prevention, monitoring/escalation processes, processing of supplier submission of nonconforming material.
Manages/Supports supplier onboarding and qualification/certification.
Manages source inspection and material release processes.
Performs Escape management procedures, drives root cause analysis & problem solving and recommends corrective and preventive action for systemic supplier process and product materials.
Proactively supports the RTX supplier programs to ensure healthy continuous improvement and sustainability.
Analyzes quality data to identify systemic issues and develops supplier specific quality initiative strategies; addressing them with key proactive quality tools (e.g. PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow and Control Plans, SPC, etc.), as well as driving their implementation.
Ensures that supplier is capable to meet all contract requirements including Resourcing Gate, Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) acceptance and Work Transfer implementation.
