About The Position

Raytheon is seeking a Principal Specialist to join our Production Control team in Forest, MS. This critical role will be responsible for the alignment between material availability, production schedule, and contractual requirements in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Shop Floor Control systems. The successful candidate must have effective communication skills, an understanding of MRP in a manufacturing environment, and an aptitude for innovative solutions. This role will be onsite in our Forest, MS Facility.

Requirements

Typically requires A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
Experience to include planning, scheduling, production control, supply chain, manufacturing, operations, finance, or relevant project management experience.
Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Nice To Haves

Experience utilizing lean manufacturing concepts with a proven track record of lean or six sigma project implementations.
Experience with ERP or purchasing systems.
Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook).

Responsibilities

Evaluating and coordinating program requirements to ensure a controlled flow of materials and services to meet customer requirements.
Providing status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed.
Working daily to confirm material supply availability.
Preparing purchase requests for components based on a master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements.
Working with program support staff to resolve material shortages and other issues impacting product build.
Reporting on and troubleshooting MRP system generated exceptions; and taking corrective action on unfavorable trends as necessary.
Accountable for achieving organizational Key Performance Metrics (KPIs) for the assigned product line
Responsible for maintaining stacked LOB and extracting impact data for weekly analysis in support of IPT/PPR meetings with programs.
