Raytheon is seeking an experienced professional with a strong and proven background in Supply Chain to fill a critical Material Program Manager (MPM) role supporting multiple programs within the AFS suite of programs. Candidates must be able to succeed in a high stress, fast paced development environment and possess excellent time management/prioritization skills. Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) and the ability to work well in a matrixed IPT environment are important. Must be a self-starter, capable of achieving organizational and program objectives. The Material Program Manager will report directly to the Tacoma Mod Supply Chain Management Lead. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the execution of supply chain strategies, material program and supplier management plans, supporting capture/proposal initiatives throughout all phases of the portfolio’s product life cycle. You will be accountable to ensure suppliers are supporting Program needs, risks are mitigated, and efficiencies identified. You will be the catalyst for program execution of the Supply Chain Strategy and activities including ensuring an appropriate budget, adequate resources, managing schedule in relation to vendor deliveries, and compliance to requirements.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience
  • Experience using SAP
  • Experience in Integrated Product Team (IPT)/Cross functional teams
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with government regulations (i.e., FAR/DFAR, ITAR/EAR, TINA, etc.)
  • Experience developing and analyzing performance metrics
  • Experience with Proposal and New Business Capture
  • Experience with program start up in a development environment
  • Experience managing supplier performance

Responsibilities

  • Advise the Supply Chain Management Lead on material status and supplier risk mitigation activities
  • Responsible for supporting the execution of all program material strategies, supply chain objectives, and enterprise objectives
  • Support Supply Chain proposal activities including task descriptions and basis of estimates that support price to win (PTW) targets
  • Support the execution of material program plans (MPP)
  • Establish Material Sales Forecasts for assigned programs
  • Support the execution of risk/opportunity plans to meet program objectives
  • Balance strategic thinking with tactical application of strategies to programs
  • Partner cross functionally with Engineering, Quality and Operations to status supplier deliveries in relation to program schedule based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
  • Monitor supplier performance metrics and proactively act to address issues
  • Balance strategic thinking with tactical application of strategies to programs
