We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Specialist, Contracts supporting the Advanced Integrated Surface Sensors (AISS) sub-strategic business unit within the Advanced Technology (AT) organization. Advanced Technology focuses on key pursuits as well as development efforts that serve as the growth engine and front of the business, critical to the future growth of Raytheon. The selected individual will be responsible for the leadership, management, and administration a wide ranging portfolio of contracts and proposals within the Next Generation Sensors/Microelectronics (NGSM) and Strategic Growth portfolios in AISS. Primary responsibilities will include supporting key pursuits within the portfolio, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, negotiating terms and conditions with Government and non-Government customers, and providing contractual guidance. Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience
  • Experience related to contracts management, program management, business management or supply chain
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Nice To Haves

  • Active and in scope Top Secret clearance
  • Contractual acumen with demonstrated proficiency in contracts fundamentals with knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
  • Familiarity with Other Transaction Agreements, Intellectual Property, license agreements, or teaming agreements
  • Experience managing development contracts in a fast-paced competitive environment
  • Proven record of responsiveness with strong time management and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Analyze Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Broad Agency Announcements (BAAs), proposal reviews and coordination, contract negotiation, support program management and executive reviews and general contract administration.
  • Work closely with the Portfolio Directors, Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Finance, and Supply Chain to manage successful execution of contracts.
  • Identify, mitigate, and drive resolution of contractual issues as they may arise.
  • Ensure that negotiated terms and conditions comply with company policies.
  • Provide guidance regarding contractual and business issues, rights and obligations, and possible mitigation of contractual and programmatic risks.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers and internal partners.
  • Interface with customers for correspondence, contractual changes, and contractual issues.
