About The Position

This is a senior technical lead role focused on developing and evolving WiFi Motion solutions. The position leads software projects, develops and optimizes firmware for gateways and routers, and works across Internet, WiFi, and related technologies. The successful candidate provides technical guidance, mentors engineers, and drives adoption of AI tools to improve software development and delivery. This position cannot provide work authorization sponsorship or immigration support now or in the future.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience; the posting also lists 15 years or more of relevant work experience.
• Experience as a technical lead on software projects.
• Experience with Internet, WiFi, gateway, and router technologies.
• Strong understanding of smart home and IoT solutions.
• Experience developing and optimizing firmware for gateways and routers.
• Proficiency in C, C++, Python, and Java.
• Expertise in Linux and RDKB.
• Experience with WiFi sensing algorithms.
• Experience with TensorFlow Lite and NPU offload.
• Expertise in model quantization.
• Skill in using AI tools to improve software development.
• Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, optimization, and expansion of the WiFi Motion sensing solution.
• Architect scalable software solutions for smart home and connected-device platforms.
• Provide technical leadership on software projects.
• Develop and enhance software for new gateway models and chipset architectures.
• Work across Internet, WiFi, gateway, and router technologies.
• Develop and optimize firmware for gateways and routers.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Define and monitor key performance metrics.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Support the software release process to ensure efficient delivery.
• Drive adoption and use of AI tools within software development.
