About The Position

The Principal Software Engineer is the most senior hands-on technical role on the software team, combining full-stack engineering expertise with cloud architecture leadership. The role sets technical direction for PRISM, IDEX’s cloud-based sensor management and data analytics software product, and related intelligent water platforms. The engineer designs and builds across the stack using C#, .NET, Angular, and TypeScript; shapes Azure platform architecture; and raises engineering standards across the team. The role works in a globally distributed, remote-working team that builds software in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem using Agile development, automated testing, continuous integration, and microservices. The team develops software and IoT hardware products that provide information about municipal water collection systems, with a focus on delivering valuable, high-quality software and long-term positive impact.
