About The Position

Bloom Energy is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to define and drive cybersecurity across cloud, edge, infrastructure as code, application security, and DevSecOps. The role leads Secure SDLC practices, DevSecOps standards, architecture for data protection, and supply chain security strategies. It also mentors engineers and promotes security-by-design across teams. The position reports to the Sr Director Software Engineering and is based in San Jose, California. It is fully onsite in the office five days a week.

Requirements

• 8–12+ years of experience in software or security engineering.
• Strong expertise in cloud security, DevSecOps, and application security.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code security, SBOM, and supply chain validation.
• Strong Python and bash shell scripting skills.
• Solid understanding of standard SDLC practices.
• Proficiency with Git and familiarity with Jira and Confluence.

Nice To Haves

• Golang experience.
