About The Position

A Principal Software Engineer is a senior-level professional responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions. They lead a team of software engineers, provide technical guidance and mentorship, and oversee the development process to ensure high-quality, scalable, and efficient software products. They also collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, define technical architecture, and drive innovation in software development practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in CS, EE or equivalent
  • 5+ Served as technical lead on projects that launched to production
  • 15+ years of experience developing state-of-the-art applications
  • 10+ years of experience with SQL, C# and Web Applications
  • Must possess good communication skills and be able to work in a team environment with other dedicated engineers
  • Development leadership
  • Strong knowledge of Audio DSP
  • Multi-threaded embedded application development
  • Strong understanding of software algorithms, structures, and patterns
  • Excellent object-oriented design and analysis skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead an engineering team assigned to building a full-stack scheduling platform, setting clear goals and objectives, defining strategy and practices, and following up to ensure these are followed and met in deliveries from the team.
  • Ensure the best experience is delivered to the customer and employees. Along with QA create architectures that enable tests and execute such tests that verify required performance as well as preventing and accurately diagnosing problems.
  • Guide the team in designing and creating new features that make the customer experience better.
  • Create patents to protect the company’s creations and intellectual property while continuing to ensure we have the best customer experience in the field.
  • Identify software elements, tools, and training that will keep the team and their products abreast of the state of the art to ensure efficient and high quality deliveries for customers and the business.
  • Deliver on time and consistently meet committed schedules and feature sets.
  • Other duties as assigned.
