About The Position

RealManage is modernizing its technology platform into an event-driven, agentic operating system capable of running autonomous, agentic processes across the business. This role is for a Principal Software Engineer to lead this transformation, focusing on building with and into AI. The engineer will orchestrate coding agents as core infrastructure to improve delivery speed and quality, and architect event-driven systems and autonomous agentic processes. The position requires a builder's mindset, strong engineering fundamentals, fluency with AI coding agents, and excellent communication skills. The role involves setting technical direction, designing and shipping autonomous processes, orchestrating AI agents, partnering with product managers and designers, leading architecture discussions, presenting technical decisions, mentoring engineers, and championing continuous delivery and DevOps practices.

Requirements

Must be located in the US and be authorized to work in the US.
A builder's bias: you embrace ambiguity, ask sharp questions, and turn vision into working software.

Fluency, or a serious, demonstrated commitment to fluency, with AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Cline, Copilot, or similar) as part of how you work.
The judgment to know when to trust an agent, when to verify, and when a decision needs a human.
Excellent written and spoken communication with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Expertise across multiple languages (C#/.NET, Node.js, or Python) and the ability to move fluidly across the stack.
Deep command of REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven, cloud-native design.
Strong front-end capability in Angular, React, or a comparable modern framework.
Proven experience with unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, and test-driven development, even more essential in an agent-assisted workflow.
Hands-on architecture experience with Azure, Kubernetes, and serverless in complex environments.
Working knowledge of the SDLC, configuration management, and Agile delivery and the confidence to challenge process that isn't earning its keep.
Architect and operate a distributed, multi-cloud environment spanning Azure and AWS designing for resilience, portability, and cost-efficiency across providers through a migration process.

Responsibilities

Set technical direction as we modernize the platform into an event-driven agentic OS, setting architecture, patterns, and the standards the rest of the team builds against.
Design and ship autonomous, event-driven agentic processes that solve real problems for the communities and teams we serve.
Orchestrate AI coding agents to accelerate delivery and build the guardrails, evals, and review practices that keep agent-generated code safe, tested, and production-grade.
Partner directly with product managers and designers to define outcomes, pressure-test ideas, and decide what's worth building.
Lead architecture and design conversations that raise the ceiling on scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
Present technical decisions and live demos clearly, to engineers and to executives who don't speak in stack traces.
Mentor engineers and raise the bar on how the whole team builds with AI, not just what they build.
Champion continuous delivery, DevOps, and a culture where shipping value quickly is the default.
