Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Nice To Haves
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 10+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, or Java; OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 12+ years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL/NoSQL technologies and highly available database design is desirable.
- 7+ years of experience designing, building, and operating large-scale, highly available cloud services and distributed systems.
- 5+ years of experience owning production services, including on-call/live-site support, observability, root-cause analysis, and implementation of systemic improvements to prevent recurring incidents.
- 5+ years of experience delivering cloud-native services on Azure, AWS, or GCP using containers, microservices, and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes, with accountability for security, availability, reliability, latency, and cost objectives.
- Strong architecture, technical design, distributed systems, systems management, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Solid computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms.
- Experience with REST, Web APIs and Go is beneficial.
