About The Position

Set the technical direction — then build it yourself. This is not an architecture role that hands specs to other people. You design it, write meaningful parts of it, and stay accountable for how it behaves in production. PrismHR is the HR, payroll, and benefits platform used by employer-services organizations across the US, backed by Vensure Employer Solutions. The problem is genuinely interesting: a mature payroll engine customers depend on absolutely, and a modern multi-tenant SaaS layer being built around and through it. You will design single-page applications over a Node.js API tier, evaluate technologies and build proof-of-concepts, write technical specifications, and communicate them credibly to engineers and executives alike. Live problems right now: mobile performance, per-tenant branding without redeployment, accessibility, and making a distributed system observable enough to diagnose rather than guess.

Requirements

10+ years with TypeScript and JavaScript
Expert-level Angular 2+ single-page applications
Expert-level Node.js and Express services, APIs, microservices
Docker and AKS or equivalent
Architectural judgment on multi-tenant SaaS — security, performance, scale
The ability to hold a technical position with executives through credibility, not authority
