About The Position

Cotality is seeking a highly motivated, self-driven Principal Data Engineer / Data Architect to design data models and build scalable batch and streaming data pipelines. The role serves as a lead or anchor engineer, responsible for designing and delivering reusable, enterprise-grade data capabilities used across Cotality. It calls for hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery and Dataflow, strong Python skills, and experience with graph technologies such as Neo4j or Google Spanner. Experience with orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow is also important. The Principal will lead an assigned engineering workstream, develop data architecture and solution designs, and provide technical guidance to engineering and support teams. The role works with other principal engineers to establish reusable patterns and consistent technology practices, helps address complex architecture and production issues, and supports enterprise initiatives involving data warehouses, lakes, marts, and data mesh architectures.
