About The Position

The Principal Scientist provides strategic and scientific biomarker leadership across hematology programs, particularly chronic myeloid leukemia (CML), BCR::ABL1-driven disease, and other myeloid malignancies. The role leads the development, execution, interpretation, and communication of translational and clinical biomarker strategies across early and late clinical development, including programs involving targeted therapies and emerging therapeutic modalities. The scientist applies knowledge of hematologic disease biology, molecular drivers, clonal evolution, treatment response, and resistance mechanisms to create decision-centric biomarker strategies. These strategies support patient selection, dose and regimen optimization, molecular response assessment, resistance characterization, and differentiation from existing therapies, with an emphasis on rigorous, interpretable, actionable evidence that informs program decisions. The role represents biomarkers on cross-functional development teams, integrates evidence across development stages, and contributes to registrational strategies, potential companion diagnostic development, regulatory submissions, and health-authority interactions as appropriate. It also communicates results, uncertainties, risks, and recommendations to cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders, mentors biomarker scientists, and supports publications, collaborations, investigator-sponsored research, and engagement with external experts. The position is based in North Wales (Upper Gwynedd), Pennsylvania, with a hybrid work arrangement. Domestic relocation is listed, travel requirements are 10%, and the position is a regular employee role with a day shift. The salary range for the primary location is $190,800 to $300,300, with eligibility for an annual bonus and long-term incentive if applicable.
