About The Position

The Global Payment Network Business Risk Office partners with business units to identify, assess, and mitigate Network-specific operational and regulatory risks. The Business Risk Office designs and executes risk frameworks, manages issues and complaints, ensures compliance, supports change management, and fosters a culture of accountability and informed decision-making. The Global Payment Network Business Risk Office Governance team ensures effective governance and risk management across Discover Network, Diners Club International, and PULSE Network, ensuring Network or Participant impacting decisions are effectively challenged, approved, and socialized. As part of the team you will: 1. Support the team in identifying and assessing risk for decisions impacting the Network, Participants, or Cardholders. 2. Act as a liaison between Discover Network, Diners Club International, and/or PULSE Network and key stakeholders and process owners, facilitating effective challenge, approval, and reporting processes. 3. Build and implementation of program components including but not limited to Third Party Risk Management, Resolution Planning, and Operational Risk Scenarios.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree or Military experience
  • At least 2 years of Risk Management Experience.
  • At least 2 years of Project Management experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clients.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 3 years of Project Management experience leading cross functional projects and programs in Risk.
  • Certifications including but not limited to PMP, CRM, CIPP, CRCM.

Responsibilities

  • Risk Consulting to one or more Business Areas relative to their business lines and provide advice and guidance as required.
  • Client Management - Develop and leverage key relationships with stakeholders that enable collaboration across the enterprise.
  • Coordinate with applicable business areas and second line of defense to define/ implement remediation activities.
  • Monitoring and Reporting of Risk and Compliance
  • Partnership with Business Continuity, Crisis Management, Change Management, and other risk management programs.
