About The Position

We are looking for an ambitious, conscientious, and thorough Principal RFIC Design Engineer to join the Qorvo team in Chelmsford, MA. You will work in a fast pace, highly co-operative environment with a world-class team. You will be responsible for designing highly-integrated microwave and millimeter-wave RFICs in state of the art technologies. You will work with others to invent new circuit design and simulation techniques and will play an instrumental role in the growth and excellence of Qorvo's IP portfolio.

Requirements

  • RF/mixed signal design experience in advanced silicon processes
  • Deep understanding of analog, RF and mmW design techniques including parasitic modeling and EM analysis
  • Solid understanding of front-end PA/LNA/switch circuits including impact of transition and package
  • Familiarity of RF/mmWave beamforming architectures and circuit blocks (ie. phase shifters, VGA) and ability to work with system engineers to translate system requirement into IC level specification
  • Experienced with LDO and power supply design for low noise
  • Knowledge of verification methodologies including behavioral, analog, RF, AMS and basic Verilog/VerilogA
  • Knowledgeable about foundry processes and ability to perform trade-studies to select appropriate processes for specific RFIC applications
  • Experienced in silicon characterization and debugging
  • Proven track record of design for first time success
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex technical information
  • MSEE/PhD with 5 to 10 years of IC design experience

Nice To Haves

  • Design experience in analog or digital PLLs with block level expertise in PFD, Charge Pumps, Dividers, VCOs etc. is a plus
  • Knowledge of packaging technologies and their impact on circuit design and ability to perform EM analysis on packages is a plus

  • Participating in defining design process improvements and implementation of such improvements.
