About The Position

As a Principal Quality Assurance Engineer on the AIA Product team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive test cases that cover critical business scenarios, including customer order validation, service activation, suspension, resumption, and termination processes involving Wi-Fi Hub Devices. You will ensure these test cases reflect real-world workflows across AT&T’s OrderGraph, Neo, and RTB backend systems. Your role will involve thoroughly documenting and reporting any application defects encountered during testing, such as incorrect order processing, billing errors, or discrepancies in service status updates. You will perform E2E testing encompassing the entire customer experience, from sales and ordering to provisioning, activation, billing, payment processing, and customer service. Additionally, you will develop automation strategies to enhance test execution, manual test coverage, and the consistency of regression tests, and collaborate with program managers, dev leads, and architects to identify test scenarios for large programs. You will also analyze test results, report test metrics, and prepare and present test reports, utilizing various communication tools and strategies to proactively report progress.

Requirements

  • Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering and Management
  • Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience using testing techniques and designing, developing, and analyzing test plans and strategies
  • Three (3) years of experience writing and executing test cases and troubleshooting defects for applications
  • Three (3) years of experience performing E2E testing encompassing the entire customer experience including sales, ordering, provisioning, activation, billing, payment processing, and customer service
  • Three (3) years of experience utilizing Postman, REST, Selenium, REST Assured, and Cucumber
  • Three (3) years of experience using Java and Python
  • Three (3) years of experience writing automation tests using BDD frameworks using Groovy
  • Three (3) years of experience writing automation frameworks using Selenium for web applications
  • Three (3) years of experience applying knowledge of testing frameworks including JUnit and Test NG

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement comprehensive test cases that cover all critical business scenarios, including customer order validation, service activation, suspension, resumption, and termination processes involving Wi-Fi Hub Devices.
  • Ensure these test cases reflect real-world workflows across AT&T’s OrderGraph, Neo, and RTB backend systems.
  • Thoroughly document and report any application defects encountered during testing. This includes issues such as incorrect order processing, billing errors, or discrepancies in service status updates across systems.
  • Validate customer orders with Hub Devices in the OrderGraph Application to ensure successful activation in Neo and proper monthly billing through RTB.
  • Responsible for the performance of all functions involved in the quality assurance and test execution for new and existing applications and interfaces.
  • Use testing techniques and design, develop, and analyze test plans and strategies.
  • Write and execute test cases and troubleshoot defects for applications.
  • Determine integrated testing solutions that include cross dependencies between organizations and programs.
  • Develop data and environment strategies utilizing architectural skills and methodology to meet performance, usability, scalability, reliability, and security needs.
  • Perform E2E testing encompassing the entire customer experience including sales, ordering, provisioning, activation, billing, payment processing, and customer service.
  • Apply knowledge of networks for integrated IT and network tests to ensure services function, are properly billed, and issues can be resolved and managed.
  • Oversee quality assurance processes for all products.
  • Work with staff to define the optimal solution for each issue that may arise and implement in-house quality procedures, standards, and specifications.
  • Develop automation strategies that will enhance test execution, manual test coverage, and the consistency of regression tests.
  • Collaborate with program managers, dev leads, and architects to identify test scenarios for large programs.
  • Report defects and follow up on their closure.
  • Analyze test results, report test metrics, and prepare and present test reports.
  • Use various tools and strategies, governance calls, stand-up calls, formal jeopardies, escalations, daily and weekly progress reports, and defect metrics collections to communicate progress proactively and regularly.
