Principal QA Engineer

Fidelity•Westlake, TX

About The Position

Tests distributed applications and their interactions across microservices architectures. Develops automated test cases using test automation frameworks and develops in-house software utilities. Builds, deploys, and maintains CI/CD pipelines, and monitors equipment to ensure systems operate in conformance with specifications. Designs, develops, and modifies software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design. Provides technical guidance in planning, designing, and executing testing and in developing procedures relating to product quality on complex projects. The role also reviews software documentation, code, application designs, business and functional requirements, and reports on software problems; improves QA processes and test plans; coordinates regression and production verification testing; performs ad hoc, regression, and sanity testing; and communicates risks and issues to management. The position requires qualifying education and experience in developing and maintaining test automation frameworks in a financial services environment. Fidelity will not provide immigration sponsorship for this position. Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles; current onsite expectations vary and may evolve. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
