About The Position

This Principal Project/Program Management role within Public Sector is key to shaping and executing communication and organizational engagement strategies for the Officer and the broader organization. The position ensures all leadership communications align strategically to advance Public Sector priorities internally and externally. The role is responsible for proactively shaping the strategy of the organization and aligning to how employees and customers experience the business unit. As a member of the Chief of Staff team, you will collaborate with the Officer of Public Sector to develop communication and engagement strategies, create communications for the Officer, and manage the overall engagement between the leadership teams and the organization. You will oversee project execution by managing scope, schedule, and budget, coordinating resources effectively, and applying industry-standard project management methodologies.

Requirements

  • Executive presence with strong briefing, decision-making, and storytelling skills, delivering clear, insightful communications tailored to Public Sector audiences.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with experience preparing clear briefing materials and government correspondence.
  • Exceptional organizational skills to efficiently manage schedules, meetings, and competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Advanced project management expertise, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while adapting to change.
  • Experience leading high-impact projects and develops innovative communication and engagement strategies that align with Public Sector priorities and advances company goals.
  • Proactive problem solver who anticipates needs and drives continuous process improvements.
  • Ability to work independently and serve as a trusted advisor to senior and executive leaders.
  • Microsoft Office Suite, content creation software (Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud), social media platforms, calendar management, and virtual collaboration tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired.
  • Demonstrated expertise in selecting and leveraging diverse communication platforms, media, tools, and channels including digital, print, social, and experiential to deliver targeted messaging effectively.
  • Proven experience developing and executing high-impact, visible communications strategies for senior executives and leadership teams, including crafting messaging for enterprise-wide initiatives, change management, and executive visibility across internal and external audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the communication and engagement strategy for the Officer and organization by preparing executive reviews, board updates, and materials for Town Halls, key events, and social media.
  • Facilitate clear and effective communication between the Officer and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget and quality standards.
  • Oversee organizational and customer events that support Public Sector’s communication strategy.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
  • Collaborate with the Leadership Team to prepare and align customer engagement plans with strategic objectives.
  • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, customers, and vendors to manage expectations and project progress.
  • Monitor project deliverables to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Proactively identify, analyze, and resolve risks or issues.
  • Exercise sound judgment and strict discretion, upholding the highest standards of privacy and security in handling sensitive executive communications and documents.
  • Support resource management, data analysis, reporting, and team collaboration.
  • Serve as a primary contact for requests lacking clear ownership, requiring broad business knowledge.
