About The Position

Project Material Control (PMC) is an organization within Pratt & Whitney Engineering under Development Operations, dedicated to supporting the rapid growth in new engine programs. PMC is looking for high energy, motivated, self-starters to drive high performance support as an analyst of the next generation of turbine engine hardware. You will be part of a team of analysts dedicated to the timely delivery and application of material to development and production assembly floors per the EVP plan.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 years of experience or an Advanced degree with 3 years of experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Microsoft Office and SAP (or equivalent system).

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to understand material needs and support timely fulfillment.
  • Audit engineering memos to ensure compliance and validate expected outcomes.
  • Create and manage purchase requisitions; collaborate with buyers for purchase order generation and management.
  • Source materials and coordinate shipment to vendors and internal shops.
  • Generate and manage production orders and other internal orders; manage and pull hardware required for orders. Return hardware to warehouse and ensure storage as necessary.
  • Ensure accurate receipt and storage of hardware with warehouse.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve receipt issues, including hardware issue receipts.
  • Maintain industrial trackers and SAP shortages.
  • Expedite critical items per engineering, procurement, or management requests.
  • Attend IPT / CIPT / Industrial meetings to provide material support updates.
  • Communicate requirements and status regularly to project engineers and IPTs.
  • Manage multiple tasks and adjust to shifting priorities as needed.
  • Share lessons learned and support team knowledge transfer.
  • Provide occasional support on extended hours or weekends.
  • Maintain and continuously improve standard work documentation for PMC processes.
  • Act as a key contributor to process improvement initiatives.
  • Support the government property group by driving on-time cycle counts and retention reviews.
  • Utilize site knowledge to locate equipment records by functional location.
  • Coordinate and escort during site-wide government property audits.
