About The Position

Development Operations (DO) Test Systems Engineering (TSE) is seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer to manage Special Test Equipment (STE) design projects in support of validation and production testing of jet engines and engine components. This position is based in East Hartford, CT. Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM
8 years of engineering experience, or an Advanced Degree in a STEM with 5 years of engineering experience
U.S. citizenship is required
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Nice To Haves

Knowledge and experience with Project Management toolsets (e.g., Agile, SAP, Primavera, or MS Project)
Bachelor in Engineering
Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams, budgets, and schedules
Knowledge of standard manufacturing methods
Active Secret Clearance

Responsibilities

Lead a multidiscipline DO team through an estimating process to provide a comprehensive plan when required to secure future work
Initiate design kick off.
Identify and align on project scope with stakeholders
Manage design requirements and ensure gap closure by need dates
Continuously monitor and track project schedule and Estimate at Completion (EAC) to ensure design and fabrication are within cost and schedule constraints
Prepare and present EV status of all tasks that require EVMS
Ensure timely completion of project milestones such as design reviews to meet schedule requirements.
Schedule design reviews, ensuring that presentations are comprehensive, complete, and meet entrance and exit criteria
Manage the procurement of STE.
Periodically track fabrication at outside vendors to ensure on-time delivery
Continually assess and communicate project status and risks to TSE management, customers, and key stakeholders
