About The Position

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) sector and the Navigation and Cockpit Systems (NACS) is offering a unique opportunity for candidates to jump-start their careers in program management in the Project Management field, in a Principal Project Manager capacity for the Lifecycle Product Sustainment organization. This position will be located onsite in Salt Lake City, UT. As a Principle Project Manager, you will oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Review status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience; OR a master’s degree and 3 or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in managing projects in operations or logistics (i.e. cost, schedule, performance).
  • Experience prioritizing and completing multiple tasks within critical deadlines.
  • Experience influencing and driving results without direct authority of personnel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as analytical, planning and presentation skills are required.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and foster effective relationships with others.
  • High-energy strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to operate and communicate at both a strategic and a hands-on level as needed.

  • Experience in a production or manufacturing environment.

  • Advanced level MS Office Software Suite experience with emphasis on MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project.
