About The Position

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Principal Project Management (Level 3) or Sr Principal Project Management (Level 4) to join our team of qualified, diverse, individuals who provide Logistics Planning Support, Aircraft Systems Integration, and Maintenance Support for assigned systems through analysis of Engineering Data Packages and Customer Directives. The Principal Project Management / Sr Principal Project Management will oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between program management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with program managers, line managers, and clients. Additionally, the successful candidate will lead the capture efforts to secure new or re-compete contracts, or task order business. Develops capture strategy including business solution for pursuit of opportunities; identifies potential customers, competitive assessments, teaming suppliers, and prices-to-win; participates in bid and proposal activities. Maintains on-going interaction with marketing.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of Project Management experience, or master’s degree and 0 years of relevant experience, OR High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and at least 10 years of relevant job experience may be considered (for Principal Project Management)
Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of Project Management experience, or 3 years with Master's Degree or 1year with PhD. 9 years of job-related experience may be considered in lieu of education (for Sr Principal Project Management)
Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and AGILE
Experience in proposal operations and development, including Basis of Estimates and historical data analysis
Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Familiar with risk development and mitigation plans
Active Secret DoD clearance with ability to maintain that clearance
Ability to obtain and retain Special Program access clearance within 365 days from submission is a condition of employment
U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions.

Active Top Secret clearance
