About The Position

SBG Technology Solutions, Inc. We are seeking a Senior Systems Integration Engineer with deep technical expertise and proven leadership experience to support complex satellite communication programs. In this role, you will serve as a key technical advisor and subject matter expert, driving integration strategies across multi-domain satellite communication systems, segments, and subsystems. Working alongside Government and contractor teams, you will play a decisive role in ensuring mission readiness, technical baseline integrity, and program success across the full systems engineering lifecycle. This is a high-impact, on-site position requiring a strong blend of technical depth, stakeholder leadership, and strategic problem-solving in a secure Government facility.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of demonstrated Systems Engineering experience
  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience leading technical teams
  • Exceptional interpersonal, oral/written communication, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Ability to work on-site in a secure facility in accordance with customer security requirements
  • Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
  • Master's degree (MS) in a technical discipline — Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be able to pass a Federal background check
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with MILSATCOM programs (e.g., AEHF, PTS, EPS, WGS, FAB-T terminals)
  • Experience collaborating with military personnel and DoD civilians
  • Familiarity with ground and space systems, including terminals and networks
  • Demonstrated Systems Engineering and Technical Leadership experience at the program level
  • Knowledge of Agile Development methodologies and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • PhD in a technical discipline — Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive integration strategies and processes for satellite communication systems and segments, including Ground, Space, Crypto, and Terminals
  • Manage and maintain technical baselines across diverse stakeholder groups and organizations
  • Perform in-depth analysis and verification of system requirements that define and govern the technical baseline
  • Evaluate proposed changes to the technical baseline, assessing impacts on enterprise capabilities and cross-stakeholder integration concerns
  • Apply Digital Engineering methods and modeling strategies — including Digital Twins — to support integration and test activities
  • Champion modern engineering approaches to improve program efficiency, collaboration, and technical accuracy
  • Collaborate with Government and contractor personnel to identify and close requirement gaps across the program
  • Lead and support Government/Contractor Working Group meetings, including developing briefings, facilitating technical discussions, and authoring meeting minutes
  • Support and actively participate in major requirements reviews, design reviews, and other key program milestone events
  • Identify, track, and manage risks, issues, and interdependencies; proactively surface schedule disconnects and conflicts
  • Develop and deliver alternative solutions to complex integration challenges while managing schedule impacts and product delivery timelines
  • Assist the Government in developing and executing targeted action plans for effective issue resolution
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), preparing and delivering clear, concise technical briefings to U.S. Space Force program office personnel and key stakeholders
  • Provide well-reasoned courses of action to inform and support critical Government decisions
  • Lead technical assessments of contractor-developed program documents; compile, consolidate, and adjudicate review comments in coordination with contractor teams
  • Individuals working for SBG Technology Solutions, Inc, a DSS, Inc. will be subject to security and privacy requirements as explained in HIPAA, FedRAMP, and NIST 800-53.
  • Individuals are required to undergo specific FedRAMP training to ensure compliance with all associated controls and responsibilities in the day-to-day performance of their duties.
  • Individuals working in departments that are considered to be in the high-risk category will be required to undergo advanced training based on their role and level of access.
  • Individuals with access to modify data and the configuration baseline will require further training.
