About The Position

eero, an Amazon company, is seeking a Principal Product Marketing Manager to join their product organization. This role is responsible for defining how eero products are positioned in the market, articulating customer value, and shaping the product narrative from inception. This position is deeply embedded in the product development process — partnering with product management, engineering, and design to ensure that customer insight and market positioning are part of the product portfolio strategy. The role requires combining technical expertise with deep customer empathy, operating with high autonomy and ownership, and driving clarity in ambiguous spaces where product, customer, and market intersect.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
  • Experience presenting complex ideas in writing in the form of authoring white papers, proposals, or other formal strategy documents
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Experience defining product positioning and value propositions for consumer technology products
  • Experience conducting and synthesizing customer research to inform product and marketing decisions
  • Track record of working with technical features or embedded within product organizations

  • MBA, or Advanced degree
  • Experience in connected home, networking, IoT, or consumer hardware categories
  • Demonstrated ability to influence product roadmap decisions through customer and market insight
  • Experience with subscription or services-based business models alongside hardware

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the positioning framework for eero products, ensuring clarity on who the customer is, what problem we solve, and why eero wins.
  • Translate complex technical capabilities into compelling customer value propositions grounded in customer research and market insight.
  • Serve as a core member of the product team, contributing to product strategy, roadmap prioritization, and feature definition with a market and customer lens.
  • Craft the product story — from internal alignment documents to external-facing positioning that informs downstream channel marketing teams.
  • Drive qualitative and quantitative research to deeply understand customer needs, competitive dynamics, and market trends that inform product and positioning decisions.
  • Partner with product management, design, engineering, and other marketing teams to ensure positioning is consistent, differentiated, and grounded in product truth.
  • Define the "what to say" and "why it matters" for product launches, handing off clear positioning and messaging frameworks to channel and campaign teams for execution.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and use it to sharpen positioning and inform product strategy.
