About The Position

The Azure Networking team is seeking a Principal Product Manager to work on highly visible projects in the networking area that will shape the future of our network. This role involves introducing new technologies for Artificial Intelligence (AI) Networking, ensuring the health and high availability of the cloud network, and building services to manage the hyper-scale network. The position also includes developing a new technology roadmap, engaging with customers to understand their requirements, and leading infrastructure evolution. This role offers opportunities for career acceleration by working on critical services supporting a hyper-scale cloud and developing deep business acumen through customer interactions. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
  • Must pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years of experience in product/service/project/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of strategic planning/product development/business analysis OR equivalent shipping service experience.
  • 3+ years deep networking experience and cloud technology.

  • 4+ years of Cloud and Networking experience.

Responsibilities

  • Identify unknown or unmet customer needs within multiple feature areas.
  • Clarify patterns of root problems and define solution options for feature areas.
  • Drive business impact across the organization and track success criteria for multiple feature areas.
  • Identify long-term investment opportunities and engage partners to garner support for feature areas.
  • Define a feature set and facilitate mid-level usability reviews with customers.
  • Own the roadmap for multiple feature areas.
  • Collaborate with a partner team to build golden configurations and drive scenario walkthroughs.
  • Scale Product Marketing teams by helping build marketing, roll-out, and customer support plans.
  • Promote feature areas and present at large events.
  • Partner with others to collect performance metrics and form hypotheses for complex technical needs to improve product development in targeted areas.
  • Identify features to deprecate, manage customer communities, and build trust with targeted customers.
