About The Position

The industrial sector generates more data than almost any other, and Seeq is on a mission to help customers use it all to make better decisions. We're the market leader in advanced analytics for process manufacturing, helping the world's largest companies in pharma, energy, chemicals, and more turn massive streams of time-series data into real operational impact. We're approaching $100M ARR, recognized as a Leader by industry analysts, and are accelerating our AI-first product strategy to redefine what Decision Intelligence means for industry. We're looking for a Principal Product Manager who operates as an enterprise-level problem solver: someone who can set a multi-year vision, orchestrate complex cross-functional work, and influence strategy across products, customers, and partners. You’ll own a critical product domain that cuts across teams and capabilities within a platform used by some of the biggest enterprises on the planet. You'll own a significant product area within a platform used by some of the biggest enterprises on the planet, and you'll do it in a culture that values data over opinions, speed over perfection, and impact over activity. This is not a feature factory. You will be expected to make hard tradeoffs, say no as much as you say yes, and ground every bet in evidence. If you get energy from designing for AI, using AI to accelerate your own ways of working, and operating with a high degree of autonomy, this role is for you.

Requirements

  • Proven Principal-level impact in B2B SaaS.
  • 7+ years of product management experience (or equivalent), including substantial time operating at Senior or Principal PM level on complex products or platforms.
  • Track record owning strategy for complex domains.
  • Demonstrated experience defining and executing multi-quarter roadmaps for cross-cutting or platform capabilities (e.g., data, analytics, workflow, AI/ML, or developer/platform surfaces).
  • Enterprise and ecosystem mindset.
  • Experience building products for enterprise customers—ideally in data, analytics, industrial software, or adjacent domains—balancing user needs, technical constraints, security, and commercial realities.
  • Exceptional influence and communication skills.
  • Ability to frame problems, tell compelling product stories, and influence executive stakeholders, peers, and cross-functional partners across time zones and functions.
  • Strong analytical and experimentation skills.
  • Comfortable with metrics, experimentation, and instrumentation at scale. You can move seamlessly between qualitative discovery and quantitative decision-making.
  • AI fluency.
  • Experience defining and shipping AI-powered product capabilities and/or demonstrated ability to quickly come up the learning curve on AI-native workflows, agentic patterns, and their implications for users.
  • Leadership without formal authority.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor PMs and cross-functional partners, lead large initiatives, and elevate the overall quality of product thinking and execution across a team or organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Domain familiarity (nice to have).
  • Experience with industrial operations, time-series data, OT/IT environments, or process manufacturing is a plus, but not required if you have a strong track record quickly learning complex technical domains.

Responsibilities

  • Own and scale a cross-cutting product domain.
  • Define and continuously refine the multi-quarter and multi-year strategy for a product area that spans multiple teams and surfaces, ensuring it ladders up to company and portfolio strategy—not just a single feature set.
  • Set direction through outcomes, not output.
  • Establish clear, measurable product outcomes; translate them into coherent roadmaps; and make deliberate tradeoffs that balance short-term wins with long-term strategic bets.
  • Drive complex cross-functional execution.
  • Lead cross-team initiatives that require coordination across product, engineering, design, data/AI, GTM, customer-facing teams, and partners. Anticipate and remove systemic blockers, resolve conflicts, and ensure we ship high-quality, high-impact releases on schedule.
  • Act as a thought partner to senior leadership.
  • Synthesize customer, market, competitive, and internal data into crisp narratives and recommendations that influence portfolio and business strategy. Lead strategy documents, investment cases, and executive reviews for your domain.
  • Be deeply data-driven at scale.
  • Define and instrument success metrics for your domain, design experiments, and use quantitative and qualitative signals to make decisions, validate hypotheses, and iterate. Model best practices in how we use data to steer product direction.
  • Design for AI and build AI-native experiences.
  • Identify and prioritize where AI and agentic capabilities create disproportionate value for our industrial users. Partner closely with engineering and AI teams to shape use cases, UX, and guardrails. Use AI tools proactively in your own discovery, analysis, and execution.
  • Lead through ambiguity.
  • Take ownership of problem spaces where the market signal is incomplete, constraints are evolving, or the solution requires structured experimentation. Bring structure, frameworks, and focus to ambiguous domains and help others navigate them.
  • Be the trusted voice of the customer and the field.
  • Build deep relationships with strategic customers, partners, and field teams. Regularly engage in discovery, design partner programs, and high-stakes customer conversations. Use these insights to challenge assumptions and refine strategy.
  • Raise the bar for product quality and UX.
  • Champion simplicity, usability, and technical soundness. Collaborate tightly with design and engineering to ensure we ship experiences that are robust, scalable, and delightful for industrial users.
  • Mentor and elevate other product managers.
  • Coach PMs across the team on craft, frameworks, and decision-making. Share best practices, review their work, and help shape and continuously improve product management standards and rituals at Seeq.
