Requirements

Proven track record and extensive experience in leading technical product development in a fast-paced, data-driven environment, preferably in the Search space.
Strong understanding of machine learning.
Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Strong collaborator who enjoys working across different teams, functions, and timezones.
Advanced degree in Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, or a related field and have experience solving large computational problems.
A Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent work experience is required

Responsibilities

Define and execute a product roadmap for Search, aligned with Yelp’s overall business objectives by staying abreast of industry trends and competitive landscape and identifying opportunities for innovation.
Understand consumer needs and pain points, and translate them into product requirements by working closely with UXR and Data Science.
Identify areas for improvement, define & prioritize algorithm development initiatives aligned with business objectives and market trends.
Analyze large datasets to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Leverage data-driven insights to inform product decisions and optimize algorithm performance.
Lead the development of Search products from conception to launch. Foster a data-driven culture to measure and optimize product performance.
Collaborate with engineering, design, and data science to deliver exceptional products. Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, engineers, and analysts and drive innovation on search algorithms.
Drive consumer engagement and retention through innovative product solutions.
