Principal Product Manager, Agent 365 Security & Governance

MicrosoftRedmond, WA
$142,800 - $304,200

About The Position

As enterprises adopt AI agents at scale, securing and governing those agents has become one of the most important problems in the industry. Our Team has built a product, Microsoft Agent 365, which helps organizations discover, secure, and govern AI agents and the tools they use across the enterprise. We are looking for a Principal Product Manager to lead the security strategy for this product and help define an emerging category: the detection, containment, and governance of unsanctioned AI. This is a thought-leadership role. You will set the product narrative, build credibility with security decision-makers and industry analysts, and drive alignment across Microsoft's security, identity, and data-protection portfolio. If you are energized by shaping a space before anyone else owns it, this role is for you.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/program management or software development, OR equivalent experience.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree AND significant product management experience, with a track record of defining a new product space rather than scaling an existing one.
  • Deep fluency with enterprise security and governance domains, ideally including endpoint, identity, and data-protection technologies.
  • Experience engaging externally with security buyers (CISOs), industry analysts, and ecosystem partners.
  • Solid written and verbal communication, with the ability to set a narrative for both technical and executive audiences.
  • Proven product management experience defining product strategy in enterprise security, threat detection, security posture management, identity, or data governance.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive product alignment across multiple engineering and product organizations without direct authority.

Responsibilities

  • Own and articulate the product vision and strategy for AI agent security, including the detection and containment of unsanctioned AI activity across the enterprise.
  • Define the category narrative for agent governance, establishing Microsoft as the recognized leader
  • Drive cross-organization alignment across Microsoft's security, identity, and data-governance solutions to deliver coherent, actionable risk intelligence to customers.
  • Partner with the security ecosystem to position Microsoft as the orchestration layer for agent risk, working alongside third-party security and posture-management providers.
  • Translate raw security telemetry into actionable signals: agent risk and criticality, intent and impact assessment, risk categorization, and remediation experiences.
  • Represent Microsoft externally with chief information security offices (CISOs), security advisory boards, and industry analysts, and bring that market insight back into the product roadmap.
  • Deliver security capabilities for regulated and government cloud environments.
  • Elevate product craft across the team by mentoring PMs, modeling excellence, and setting a high bar for quality and impact.

Benefits

  • Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
