About The Position

The Enterprise Technology team builds and delivers the secure, scalable systems that power how our business runs. Our People Technology Team sits at the heart of this work, overseeing the full Hire-to-Retire technical ecosystem—including core applications like Workday, Greenhouse, and Cornerstone—and ensuring these platforms evolve alongside the company's growth. We partner closely with HR, Finance, Operations, and Security to bring data-driven, secure, compliant, and innovative solutions to life. Reporting to the Director of People Technology, this Principal Product Analyst role serves as the Workday Delivery Lead for Okta's People Technology portfolio, focused on the Experience & Rewards pod. In this broad role, you will lead complex, multi-system initiatives spanning Core HCM, Benefits, Rewards, and Compensation. You will serve as the crucial conduit between Product Management, Total Rewards, and HR Operations leadership, driving technical execution against a prioritized backlog to align with Okta's strategic goals.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8+ years with a Master’s degree.
  • Proven track record as a Delivery Lead managing complex, multi-system initiatives.
  • Ability to handle complex issues spanning multiple applications and processes, requiring analysis of diverse data factors.
  • Exceptional collaboration skills to build strong relationships with key stakeholders, manage conflicting perspectives, and reach consensus.
  • Strategic thinking to anticipate future business needs and propose proactive improvements for your assigned areas.
  • Proactive and organized with an attention to detail, ensuring we are always planning ahead to achieve delivery milestones.
  • Strong leadership qualities to guide teams, facilitate workshops, and mentor junior colleagues.
  • U.S. soil status - the employee must be on U.S. soil, which means the 50 states, the District of Columbia, or outlying areas of the United States, as defined in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 2.101, and be a U.S. person.

Responsibilities

  • Technically scope and lead the delivery of multi-quarter, high-visibility, executive-sponsored projects across Experience & Rewards system and processes (e.g., compensation, benefits, equity, and total rewards platforms).
  • Act as the primary conduit between business partners and technical delivery teams, owning and writing detailed functional requirements, business processes, and use cases.
  • Serve as the functional specialist and delivery lead for the Experience & Rewards pod, specializing in Core HCM, compensation, rewards, and benefits technology integrations and workflows.
  • Drive delivery against a prioritized backlog for aligned stakeholder groups, ensuring successful project execution from start to finish.
  • Operate actively in a Scrum framework—breaking down complex epics and business requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and actionable technical tasks while participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives with our global team.
  • Proactively identify and resolve project-level risks and requirement trade-offs with stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Guide project teams through uncertainty, facilitate scoping workshops, and provide mentorship to junior colleagues.
