Principal Process Engineer

Galore Creek Mining CorporationVancouver, BC
CA$150,000 - CA$185,500Hybrid

About The Position

Initially reporting to the General Manager, the Principal Process Engineer provides technical leadership across all metallurgical, mineral processing, geometallurgical, and process engineering activities. The role is responsible for advancing the metallurgical aspects of the Project through all stages of development, including metallurgical test work programs, process design, engineering studies, project economics, and operational readiness planning. The role will be a hybrid work arrangement (office/remote) based in Vancouver, BC with travel to the Project site as required. Time at the Galore Creek project site is also an expectation. Located in Tahltan Territory in Northwestern British Columbia, Galore Creek is one of the world’s largest undeveloped copper-gold-silver deposits. Galore Creek Mining Corporation (GCMC) is a 50:50 partnership between Newmont Corporation (Newmont) and Teck Resources Limited (Teck), committed to advancing the asset towards a development decision with meaningful input and support from the Tahltan Nation and BC regulators. GCMC has a long-standing relationship with the Tahltan Nation and local communities, including collaboration during regulatory processes, reviews of environmental performance, and preferential contracting and employment opportunities. As a GCMC employee, you will join an inclusive, results-driven team guided by our core values. Together, you will help responsibly advance a world-class copper-gold mine, creating long-term value through the sustainable production of critical minerals.
