About The Position

HP is looking for a true technical and strategic leader to join our team as a Principal Pre-Sales Technologist and be the lead technical champion for the HP Workforce Experience Platform (WXP) and its corresponding solutions. WXP is our cloud-based enterprise solution that helps organizations move from reactive IT to a proactive, user-centric approach. In this role, you will be responsible for building deep client relationships, communicating the immense value of our proposed solutions, and directly contributing to revenue growth. You will partner with stakeholders from the C-suite to the engineering teams, influencing their business and technology decisions by designing and evangelizing WXP as their core strategic platform.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of work experience, preferably in technical pre-sales, consultative selling, or solutions architecture for cloud-based IT management, Endpoint Management, or Digital Employee Experience (DEX) platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. A degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business Administration is also highly valued (or commensurate work experience).
  • Strong understanding of DEX based platforms including WXP, 1E, NextThink, etc..
  • Expertise in the Microsoft endpoint management ecosystem, particularly Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Strong grasp of the full SaaS sales lifecycle and experience with core business platforms.
  • Salesforce (for sales process)
  • PowerBI / Tableau / Splunk / ServiceNow (for data visualization and API integration)
  • A strong understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) principles (ServiceNow integration is a key plus) and Digital Employee Experience (DEX) as a business strategy.
  • Hands-on mastery of cloud-native principles (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Familiarity with AI capabilities within WXP, such as Sentiment Analysis and Topic Modeling.
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), APIs, and virtualization (NVIDIA vGPU).
  • Ability to advise customers on environment readiness (whitelisting, proxy configs).
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a natural ability to simplify complex topics, build credibility, and present technical concepts to non-technical executives.

  • Professional cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect).
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline tools.
  • A strong understanding of Agile development methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Articulate the "Why": Masterfully position the WXP value proposition, demonstrating how its AI-powered predictive analytics and actionable insights drive down costs, strengthen security, and improve employee productivity.
  • Command the Room: Develop and deliver compelling presentations, demonstrations, and Proof-of-Value (POV) sessions to executive and technical audiences.
  • Own the Technical Proposal: Prepare and lead the technical responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), ensuring the proposed solution perfectly aligns with the client's business and technical needs.
  • Showcase the Platform: Be the definitive expert in core WXP features, including: DEX Scoring, Deep Diagnostics, Automation & Remediation.
  • Act as a Trusted C-Level Advisor: Forge deep, strategic relationships with executives and senior stakeholders, becoming the indispensable partner they turn to for advice on AI-driven decision-making and modern workforce strategy.
  • Partner with Sales: Work closely with the sales team, providing them with the critical technical insights and guidance required to effectively position our solutions and win deals.
  • Engage All Key Buyers: Build trust and tailor your message to the specific needs of diverse stakeholders: Infrastructure Managers, DEX Leads, Security Architects, ESG Program Managers.
  • Lead Complex Solution Design: Handle unique and complex customer challenges with creative problem-solving, architecting innovative solutions that integrate WXP into their existing ecosystem.
  • Plan for Growth: Identify the long-term growth path and scalability options for every solution. You will generate a comprehensive implementation plan, identifying potential challenges and mitigating risks.
  • Manage the Handoff: Oversee the implementation of the proposed solution, ensuring a smooth and successful transition from the sales cycle to the deployment and operations teams.
  • Assure Security & Compliance: Clearly articulate WXP's adherence to global standards (ISO 27001, SOC2 Type2) and address complex data privacy and residency requirements (e.g., EU, Switzerland).
  • Drive Thought Leadership: Contribute to high-impact initiatives by writing technical whitepapers, creating articles, or speaking at industry conferences to establish HP's expertise.
  • Be the "Voice of the Customer": Conduct market research to identify new trends and customer pain points. You will capture and communicate this feedback to Product Management and Engineering to ensure our platform continues to lead the market.
  • Mentor the Team: Provide active guidance and mentorship to junior team members, helping them develop both their technical acumen and their consultative selling skills.
