Northrop Grumman is seeking a Space Operations Support Analyst to join our Front Range Operations and Sustainment Team (FROST) program, working on‑site at Schriever SFB near Colorado Springs, CO. This is a day shift position supporting the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) and Satellite Control Network (SCN). FROST provides real‑on‑orbit support, launch ascent support, and End‑of‑Life operations for all NOPS missions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience OR Masters with 3 years of experience or PhD with 1 year of experience OR 9 years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Designing training materials (lesson plans, syllabi).
• Experience satellite operations and mission‑critical software.
• Presentation, facilitation, and group engagement skills.
• Experience with cross‑functional teams and external customers to support integration.
• Aligning training material with modernization and mission requirements.
• Familiar with simulation/scenario development.
• Top‑Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph at time of application.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with UNIX and Windows‑based systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to interface effectively with users, customers, management, and engineering personnel.
• Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) for documentation and workflow management.
• Air Force 1C6X1 career field—Space Systems Operations or other similar Military or civilian experience

Responsibilities

• Conduct root‑cause analysis of operational issues, document findings, and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop, deliver, and evaluate training programs for operations personnel; maintain training records and certification status.
• Review and update training content, lesson plans, and instructional materials to ensure accuracy.
• Participate in planning, execution, and evaluation of quarterly mission exercises; provide console expertise and after‑action reporting.
• Support operational acceptance testing, including hardware and software integration; validate new capabilities against mission requirements.
• Review, update, and refine operational procedures and CONOPS documentation to align with evolving mission needs.
• Support satellite communications operations, monitor links, troubleshoot anomalies, and coordinate with engineering teams.
• May be required to support live operations when mission needs arise.
• Ability to work on‑site and support occasional off‑hours training events, exercises, and rehearsals.
