About The Position

Join Schneider Electric as a Principal, Multi-Channel Field Sales and lead the growth of our channel partner network. This role combines strategic account management, field sales expertise, and the opportunity to drive real impact in efficiency and sustainability solutions. This position will be responsible for management and development of Field Device Strategic markets with key focus across the North American region. The Schneider Electric business is seeking to add a Business Development Manager who will be responsible for the generation of incremental Field Device business in Strategic markets. In this role, the individual will provide input to define and develop strategic needs as it relates to Schneider Electric offerings. This key role will drive planning, designing and positioning of Field Device solutions by defining vision, strategies, and tactics to address market shifts to enhance Schneider Electric competitive position and advance business growth. The Business Development Manager is responsible for sales and business development activities of Field Device solutions including: Pressure, Temperature, Flow, Level, E-Chem, Wireless. In addition, the Field Device Business Development Manager will lead the sales and business development efforts related to key targeted North American markets and accounts. The successful candidate should ensure that all sales pursuits are adequately managed and will lead the sales and business development team’s efforts for Schneider Electric Field Devices. It is expected that high level relationships will be established with key clients.

Requirements

  • 5 years sales leadership experience within the industrial automation segment.
  • Understanding of Process Automation and its applications.
  • Interest in emerging technology segments (Semi-Conductor, Data Centers, Pharma / BioTech)
  • Relationships with C-level executives within strategic markets.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing business strategies.
  • Proven experience working in owner/operator environment in process automation, process engineering, operations and maintenance capacity
  • Analytical thinking, strong capability of project management and problem-solving skills, sound judgment and a willingness to resolve issues and problems in a timely manner
  • Excellent communications skills with the proven ability to develop rapport and credibility across the organization, promote ideas and proposals persuasively
  • Exposure to Strategy & Business Development in the North American market space.
  • Proven ability to develop sustainable opportunity pipeline based on business plans

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in business management, engineering, science or equivalent is preferred
  • Travel: Must be sufficiently mobile and flexible to travel as required to successfully manage strategy

Responsibilities

  • Develop demand and need for Instrumentation portfolio within new and existing customers and markets aligned to strategic objectives and goals.
  • Interface with district sales and business leads to implement and develop account specific strategies within key customers and markets.
  • Improve process automation portfolio penetration across key focus customers with support of district managers through new solutions and services.
  • Evaluate and pursue the execution of key medium-term business goals in identified focus areas and established accounts. Focus on key strategic markets.
  • Work closely with strategy and product management teams to provide voice of market and customers, trends and development on competitive dynamics related to service and solutions.
  • Support development of the business case for strategic initiative and drive implementation of selected strategies.
