About The Position

As a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer at Honeywell, you will lead the development of advanced mechanical solutions while driving major improvements in digital engineering. You will spearhead initiatives in digital twins, design automation, parametric modeling, and simulation data management to significantly reduce design cost and cycle time. You will serve as a subject-matter expert and thought leader, developing automated and AI-enabled analysis tools that will accelerate design and improve quality. You will oversee digital-engineering infrastructure, partnering with IT and tool-support teams to ensure reliability and scalability. In this role, you will guide and mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define mechanical requirements, ensuring high-quality, integrated mechanical systems and assemblies. You also will represent Honeywell in industry forums and work with software vendors to influence future engineering tool capabilities. You will apply earned-value-management practices to maintain cost and schedule performance and verify that process-improvement initiatives deliver targeted savings.
