About The Position

Elastic is seeking a Principal, Marketing Analytics to connect business needs with the systems, data, and analysis that support marketing and sales decisions. The role partners with Marketing, Sales, Revenue Operations, Finance, and Data teams to determine where to invest, which accounts to pursue, and what drives revenue. The Principal translates leaders’ questions into analyses, recommendations, and requirements; evaluates which systems, tools, and products to build, buy, prioritize, or retire; and presents business cases based on expected value, resources, and total cost of ownership. The role designs marketing and sales measurement architecture and builds core data models, pipelines, and machine-learning datasets, with testing and version control. It develops funnel and performance models connecting marketing activity and spend to pipeline and revenue, measures the customer path from first touch to closed deal, and combines attribution, incrementality, and mix modeling into a consistent view of effectiveness. The Principal also defines account-based performance measures, builds plain-language tools for trusted business-data answers, establishes standards for metrics, data quality, and GDPR/CCPA privacy compliance, plans roadmaps with partner teams, and mentors senior analysts and engineers. The position offers base salary without variable compensation and is eligible for Elastic’s stock program. The company describes itself as distributed and offers flexible location and scheduling for many roles. Elastic also describes its benefits and people policies, including competitive pay, health coverage in many locations, vacation days, donation matching, volunteer time, and parental leave.
