About The Position

Define, develop, test, analyze and maintain new complex software applications. Write, code and test complex applications and reports. Research, design, document and modify non-standard and complex software specifications. Create functional specifications for highly complex requirements. Leverage understanding of the business domain and existing frameworks for the success of development projects. Design, develop, modify, debug and implement short- and long-term solutions to IT needs through new and existing applications, systems architecture, network systems and applications infrastructure. Analyze existing programs or formulate logic for new systems, devise logic procedures, prepare flowcharting, perform coding and test/debug programs. Prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Develop system implementation plans. Prepare and obtain approval of system and programming documentation. Assign development tasks to team members. Train users in implementation of the system. Ensure development coding standards and maintain Project Life Cycle (PLC) standards. Recommend changes in development, maintenance and system standards.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Engineering (any field), Math, or closely related field
5 years of progressive experience in position offered or related occupation
5 years of experience in: RPG, RPG-ILE, CL, SQL, AS/400 environments, DDM, DB2 Database, XML, FTP, SFTP, and MQ
5 years of experience in: supporting business-critical production environment
5 years of experience in: working with distribution business systems and warehouse management software
5 years of experience in: working with change management tools/systems
5 years of experience in: translating Business requirements to IT Systems requirements
5 years of experience in: working with offshore teams and multi-location teams
5 years of experience in: project estimation, agile methodologies, managing backlogs and sprints
3 years of experience in: Web services
3 years of experience in: integrating application systems with iSeries
3 years of experience in: reverse engineering and documenting legacy application
3 years of experience in: data migration from legacy application
