About The Position

Nightwing Security is seeking a Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) in support of a Special Projects ELITE (SPE) security program. Located at a Nightwing Dulles Offsite facility in the Sterling, Virginia area, the CPSO will assist in the security management of a Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Program, maintaining compliance with NISPOM, all applicable Sponsor security policies and procedures; all applicable Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs); and all other applicable Government security policies and procedures. This position requires a self-starter who is interested in working in a fast-paced environment. This role encompasses a variety of duties and responsibilities to include daily communication with government customers, program management, and security counterparts. This role has a direct impact on customer mission and Nightwing success.

Requirements

  • Ability to build rapport, interact professionally, and foster a cooperative work environment with a diverse population of employees, subcontractors, and customers
  • US Citizenship with current Top-Secret SCI Clearance and polygraph
  • A related university degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Knowledgeable in one or more of the following Security disciplines: Personnel Security, Physical/Technical Security, or Program Security
  • A basic understanding of Information/Cyber Security
  • Knowledgeable of SCI Security requirements, Intelligence Community Directives (ICD), and applicable customer security directives
  • Ability to communicate professionally in both written and verbal communications
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, schedule and organize activities and workload while accomplishing objectives in fast paced environment
  • Attention to detail and follow-through when completing tasks
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Nice To Haves

  • Strong familiarity with government security processes and forms related to the clearance process
  • Experience using clearance databases to include CCure, Scattered Castles, and Access Commander
  • Ability to work and take actions independently, and solve problems by making sound decisions
  • Proven capability to adapt to changing work environments and successfully work under pressure to include the ability to positively interact with customers on policy issues

Responsibilities

  • Processing initial requests for clearance/SCI access, crossovers, terminations, badge renewals, reinvestigations, reporting requirements, briefings and debriefings, managing the cleared personnel listing, and maintaining accurate clearance database information.
  • Primary management of the facility access control, control of the Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), creation of facility credentials for employees, partner companies and guests, provide overwatch of the facilities perimeter, assist with conducting annual self-inspections, maintaining proper documentation to include SCIF accreditation and SOPs, processing visit certifications, facilitating and supporting customer inspections, and changing safe and door combinations.
  • Processing data transfers, trusted downloads, and conducting routine audits of program related IT applications.
