About The Position

This role is a challenging and exciting opportunity to drive operational performance and own key projects for customers. The ideal candidate will take initiative to solve problems and pursue continuous improvement opportunities. This position requires an analytical, technically minded, and detail-oriented individual to provide support with layout, design, improvement, and implementation to enable sites to achieve peak performance. The role will champion Continuous Improvement initiatives and projects, identify and implement cost reduction, quality, safety, and ergonomic improvements. The position offers the opportunity for significant impact on company profitability.

Requirements

BS in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Engineering or related discipline with 2-3 years experience in manufacturing
Ability to work collaboratively across departmental lines
Highly organized and proficient in project management
Proven ability to motivate and influence teammates to drive organizational change
Excellent problem solving and time management skills
Strong written and oral communication skills, including presenting to leadership
BS in Industrial Engineering or related discipline with 4-5 years’ experience in manufacturing, or in absence of degree 8 years’ experience.
Experience with LEAN practices and projects utilizing the following LEAN tools VSM 6S Problem Solving 8 Waste
Experience utilizing project management tools (KPI fire or similar).

Responsibilities

Use accepted industrial engineering and accounting principles to develop, implement, and maintain total manufacturing standards.
Utilize continuous improvement methodologies to assist operations in meeting strategic objectives.
Lead Kaizen events and projects to support company goals and objectives.
Enact quality control procedures to resolve productivity flow problems or minimize cost.
Drive sustained improvements through the utilization of Continuous Improvement techniques: process flows, operating procedures, and work instructions.
Assist in determining optimal shop floor layouts, product flow strategies, assembly methods, ergonomics, material handling, etc.
Perform time and motion studies to develop standards for labor utilization.
