Requirements

  • Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations. Or applicable MS degree with 6 years of applicable experience.
  • Industrial Engineering degree
  • Experience with capacity/constraint analysis
  • Experience with CAD software for factory layouts (e.g., AutoCAD)
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing best practices
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Responsibilities

  • Apply advanced problem-solving techniques and Lean Manufacturing principles to develop and optimize factory throughput, efficiency, and value.
  • Analyze manufacturing system performance to identify constraints, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to calculate capacity, eliminate constraints, and improve cost, quality, and schedule performance.
  • Create factory models using process flows, value stream maps, pareto charts, spaghetti diagrams, and CAD drawings to graphically show manufacturing processes, the movement of material, the exchange of information, and key metrics.
  • Support strategic roadmaps related to factory capacity, capability growth, infrastructure improvements, obsolescence mitigation, and integration of new manufacturing technologies.
  • Partner with other functions to manage projects that modify the factory footprint, change the layout of factory equipment, and/or add new capability.
  • Lead analyses to support competitive bids, factory proposals, business case development, supplier capability assessments, and Make/Buy/Where analyses.
  • Mentor and influence teams to drive data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement across value streams.
